Paul Craig Roberts: Integrity Has Vanished From The West

Altnews editor’s comment: Western #Sheeple are being herded towards an unwinnable and fatal #Nuclear_War at breakneck speed like shite scared lemmings heading towards a cliff over the abyss. The point of no return seems just around the next corner. “Orchestrations this blatant demonstrate that Western governments have no respect for the intelligence of their peoples. That Western governments get away with these fantastic lies indicates that the governments are immune to accountability.”

By Paul Craig Roberts

Among Western political leaders there is not an ounce of integrity or morality. The Western print and TV media is dishonest and corrupt beyond repair. Yet the Russian government persists in its fantasy of “working with Russia’s Western partners.” The only way Russia can work with crooks is to become a crook. Is that what the Russian government wants?

The G20 Itching to go to War with Russia

Finian Cunningham notes the absurdity in the political and media uproar over #Trump (belatedly) telephoning #Putin to congratulate him on his reelection with 77 percent of the vote, a show of public approval that no Western political leader could possibly attain. The crazed US senator from Arizona called the person with the largest majority vote of our time “a dictator.” Yet a real blood-soaked dictator from Saudi Arabia is feted at the White House and fawned over by the president of the United States. Worst. Putin Puppet. Ever.

Knee jerks or just jerks? Is the empire looking for war?
Knee jerks or just jerks? Is the empire looking for war?

In what the BBC is unironically referring to as “a remarkable show of solidarity,” the US and more than 20 other countries have participated in the largest collective expulsion of Russian diplomats ever in history. The US topped them all with no less than 60 diplomats expelled, far exceeding the 23 diplomats expelled by the UK, the location of the alleged “Novichok” poisoning which the expulsions are intended as a response to.

This is just the latest gratuitous cold war escalation against the Russian Federation by the Trump administration, which will still remain plagued by accusations of Kremlin collusion despite this latest act and all the others preceding it. Those previous escalations include Trump’s capitulation to the longstanding neoconservative agenda to arm Ukraine against Russia, killing Russians in Syria as part of its regime change occupation of that country, adopting a Nuclear Posture Review with greatly increased aggression toward Russia and blurred lines between when nuclear strikes are and are not appropriate, sending war ships into the Black Sea “to counter Russia’s increased presence there,” forcing RT and Sputnik to register as foreign agents, expanding NATO with the addition of Montenegro, assigning Russia hawk Kurt Volker as special representative to Ukraine, shutting down a Russian consulate in San Francisco and throwing out more Russian diplomats in August of last year.

Isn’t it weird how when you ignore the narratives being promoted by both sides and just look at the raw behavior, being a “Putin puppet” looks exactly the same as being a dangerously aggressive Russia hawk? Continue reading “Worst. Putin Puppet. Ever.”

Bravo, Trump! His Spur Of The Moment “Yes” Unmasked 68 Years Of Washington Duplicity

By David Stockman.

March 13, 2018 “Information Clearing House” -They say that even a blind squirrel occasionally finds an acorn, and by our lights the Donald just proved that in spades with his spur of the moment acceptance of Kim Jong Un’s proposal for a summit meeting. It is no exaggeration to say that the shock of it nearly sent Imperial Washington into cardiac arrest—- as was surely attested to by the storm of censorious harrumphing that poured out of the mainstream media over the weekend.

The gravamen of all this high-toned blather is that Trump made the decision all on his own without asking his advisors—mainly a bevy of failed generals and recycled Washington war hawks—for their opinion. And that’s to say nothing of not grinding it through the NSC’s interagency paper mill for months on end or a prolonged ordeal of pre-summit diplomatic ping-pong about the shape of the table.

That prospective absence of bureaucratic foreplay was all that the Trump-o-phobic New York Times needed to belittle the most hopeful breakthrough for peace in years, if not decades, as just another case of Trump’s impetuosity and unfitness for office.

After noting that Mr. Chung, the South Korean envoy, had taken pains to “open with flattery, which diplomats have discovered is a key to approaching the volatile American leader”, the Times wasted no ink before slamming the Donald’s purportedly rash decision:

Mr. Trump accepted on the spot, stunning not only Mr. Chung and the other high-level South Koreans who were with him, but also the phalanx of American officials who were gathered in the Oval Office.

Mr. Trump brushed them off (generals Mattis and McMaster). I get it, I get it, he said.

Where others see flashing yellow lights and slow down, Mr. Trump speeds up. And just like that, in the course of 45 minutes in the Oval Office, Mr. Trump threw aside caution and dispensed with decades of convention to embark on a daring, high-wire diplomatic gambit aimed at resolving one of the world’s most intractable standoffs.

The two bolded words capture the essence of the matter because there is nothing at all intractable about the Korean problem. It was born, bred and perpetuated in Washington all along, and could be unmade with alacrity in the same corridors of Imperial power.

[101] CIA Veteran Admits Deep State Is Very Real [Video Report]

CIA Veteran Admits Deep State Is Very Real
CIA Veteran Admits Deep State Is Very Real

[101] CIA Veteran Admits Deep State Is Very Real Video Report preface/commentary by Ralph Ely | TLB Editor-at-large Just a few words about the following video from the show “Redacted Tonight” with host Lee Camp and his guest former CIA operative Ray McGovern.

If you have never seen Redacted Tonight, you will find its presentation peppered with mild comedy and down to earth analogies when addressing any subject at hand. Show host Lee Camp keeps things moving right along, so there is no danger of boredom setting in. Some may find it a bit unsettling that the shows format tends to “lean to the left.” We find that easy to overlook for the most part, due to the fact a large part of the information presented is true and you sure as hell are not going to get it from U.S. Main Stream Media  Down Stream Media.

Guest Ray McGovern, formally with the CIA, and a founding member of Veterans Intelligence Professionals For Sanity (VIPS), does an excellent one-on-one with Camp in what is billed as a 101 lesson about the reality of  Deep State.

McGovern and his group VIPS (members listed below video) also lean a bit heavy to the left. They are anti-war, pro liberty and freedom, but at the same time some of their founders and member groups are pro-United Nations. We find it strange they would support the UN when it’s programs are designed to help the 1% Elite administer a One World Government.

In this video McGovern states that Trump should have been impeached early on because of his shallow understanding of how politics and ‘the real world’ work. McGovern seems to be saying Trump’s ‘cookie cutter’ method of buying, building and selling will not work in government as it works in the business world.

McGovern appears to be struggling with the fact that Trump does think and do “outside the box.” (You just don’t do that in Government.) IsMcGovern suffering from a Deep State Hangover from ‘the old days’?

There you have it… a few things we have sorted through so you can set back, watch and devour the meat of the subject without having to jump up and distract yourself by shouting WTF?

Cannabis proven an effective alternative form of pain relief for elderly patients, allowing many to quit taking dangerous meds, research finds

Cannabis for pain relief

(Natural News) President Trump announced last year that the opioid epidemic was a “public health emergency” and called for the medical community to look for alternative therapies to battle the growing crisis. The President cited the most recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) statistics which places drug overdose as the leading cause of injury death in the United States, outnumbering both gun-related deaths and traffic crashes. It is estimated that 175 people die each day in our country because of a drug overdose.

The class of drugs most commonly being abused is painkillers or opioid analgesics prescribed to treat chronic pain. Of those who are given these drugs, medical professionals have stated that the elderly (or those 65-years-old and older) are the most at risk of overdosing. Doctors have warned that while older Americans represent only 14 percent of the total population, they comprise 30 percent of all those who use opioids.

This has prompted several health institutions to look for better and more natural ways to treat chronic pain.

A new study conducted by researchers from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev(BGU) and the Cannabis Clinical Research Institute at Soroka University Medical Center concluded that medical cannabis could be the answer. Authors of the study observed around 3,000 elderly patients suffering from chronic pain brought about by various conditions including cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis, among other things. More than 60 percent of patients were prescribed medical cannabis to alleviate their pain.

The researchers saw that in only six months, 93 percent of patients reported a significant reduction in the amount of pain they felt. Moreover, 60 percent of the participants claimed that their quality of life was raised from “bad” or “very bad” to “good” or “very good” within the same time period. Seventy percent likewise reported moderate improvement in their condition.

More importantly, 18 percent of all participants lessened, or completely stopped, their prescription to their opioid analgesics.

It was concluded that medical cannabis therapy can be a safe and effective treatment for chronic pain and can serve as a way to lessen the dependence people may develop to prescription painkillers. (Related: A look at the evolving relationship surrounding medical marijuana vs. opioid deaths.)

Globalists weaponize the stock market to control presidents

Anatomy of a fake reality

by Jon Rappoport

March 4, 2018

The economy is on the rise. No, it’s sinking. There are very good indicators. No, all the signals are catastrophic.

We’ve seen pundits on television hawking their version of the near future. Many of them represent organizations who have political and financial agendas.

For example, Globalist forces and their mouthpieces would have you believe that laying tariffs on imports will sink the stock market.

However, since the stock market is a rigged game for insiders, here is a proper translation of the above paragraph: “If tariffs are laid on, Globalist insiders will MAKE the stock market sink, and characterize that as a natural consequence of the new tariffs.”

In turn, then, a diving stock market will be PROMOTED (by the Globalist press) as a sign that the overall economy is in big trouble.

Trump surrounded himself with Goldman Sachs people because they could give him a rising stock market.

This is not an ironclad agreement. If Goldman decides Trump’s policies are wandering off-track, they can bail on him and send the stock market down.

This is how the economic game is played.

The return of some corporations from overseas, to set up factories in the US again? Fine. No problem. But Trump’s statement, several days ago, that he would lay a 25% tariff on imported steel and a 10% tariff on aluminum—that’s an anti-Globalist earthquake.

Globalist leaders in foreign countries are lining up to say they’ll retaliate. They’ll lay tariffs on imports from America. Bourbon, jeans, motorcycles, orange juice, rice. But is this the end of the world? No. It should be the first step in sorting out unfair and ruinous trade policies that have eaten into the US economy for decades.

The stock market is hyped as the prime indicator that passes judgment on what Trump (or any president) is doing. If it falls precipitously, that means he’s wrong and very badly wrong.

But in truth, the stock market is a separate giant Vegas casino. Investment funds’ algorithms move billions in and out of trades, minute by minute. Individual speculators bet on rises and falls. Claiming the condition of the entire US economy is reflected in the stock market is like saying the Powerball lottery reveals the financial health or sickness of the US automobile industry.

The stock market and the precious Dow are set up as a very profitable playground for insiders. That’s the beginning and the end of that story.
