Immune systems go haywire when mice are fed fast food, causing an “explosion” of inflammation

Fast food is dangerous
Fast food is dangerous

(Natural News) Fast food is unhealthy; it’s loaded with salt, sugar and fat — and a whole lot of calories. It’s often pretty low in essential nutrients, as well. It’s well documented that fast food should be consumed in moderation, if at all. Indeed, most people know that takeaway meals aren’t ideal, but a recent study has shed light on just how bad going to the drive-thru really is for your health.

As it turns out, fast food doesn’t just contribute to inflammation and disease: It can actually provoke lasting (and damaging) changes to your immune system. Eating a diet laden with refined sugars, saturated fat and salt actually promotes the immune system to act as if there is an infection somewhere in the body, according to lead researcher Dr. Eicke Latz. Dr. Latz is the Director of the Institute for Innate Immunity of the University of Bonn.

To conduct their research, Latz and his team fed a group of mice a simulated “Western diet” for a whole month. This means the mice were fed food loaded with sugar, salt and fat — and were given very little fruits or vegetables.

Annette Christ, another study author, commented on their findings. She explained, “The unhealthy diet led to an unexpected increase in the number of certain immune cells in the blood of the mice, especially granulocytes and monocytes.”

“This was an indication for an involvement of immune cell progenitors in the bone marrow,” Christ added.

Acupuncture found to calm heart rate, increase stamina in athletes engaging in high-intensity training

Acupuncture calms heart rate
Acupuncture calms heart rate

(Natural News) Acupuncture can normalize heart rate as well as increase the stamina of athletes undergoing high-intensity training, a study published in the Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine has found. Prolonged and high-intensity training sessions typically cause athletes to accumulate fatigue and show a decline in performance which increases the risk of sports injuries. Fortunately  , recovery and athletic performance can be improved, and fatigue and risk of injuries can be mitigated through proper recovery strategies. Thus, a team of researchers from Khon Kaen University in Thailand looked at the effects of acupuncture therapy on the heart rate of athletes engaging in high-intensity training.

The study involved 24 elite soccer players who were undergoing a four-week, high-intensity training session. The study participants were then randomly assigned into two groups – acupuncture or sham acupuncture group.

The group given acupuncture therapy stimulated the acupressure points Zusanli, Hegu, Shenshu, and Chize for two times a week. On the other hand, the sham acupuncture group received a special placebo-needle technique on the same acupressure points. The researchers measured the heart rate variability parameters of the participants before and after interventions, respectively.

Results showed that the stress index greatly increased in the placebo group, whereas no significant difference was observed in the acupuncture group. A high stress index makes athletes feel anxious, raises mental pressure, and causes fatigue. This means that acupuncture therapy can reduce depression or anxiety disorders, as well as enhance recovery, according to the researchers. Moreover, the researchers wrote that an increase in parasympathetic activity in the acupuncture group indicated that it could be a means for faster heart rate recovery.

Unrefined pumpkin seed oil increases antioxidant properties of bakery products

Fresh bread
Fresh bread

(Natural News) The antioxidant properties of bakery products can be increased by adding unrefined pumpkin seed oil, according to a study published in the journal Agronomy Research. The researchers from St. Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great examined the fatty acid compositions and biologically active components found in vegetable oils such as unrefined rice bran oil, unrefined pumpkin seed oil, and refined and deodorized sunflower oil. They assessed the antioxidant properties of the vegetable oils according to the different factors, such as the formation of the primary and secondary oxidation products; and the oxidation coefficient, which can be identified in the process of applying thermal treatment, resulting in vitamin E being destroyed. However, the resistance to the thermal oxidation process of the vegetable oils were affected due to their biochemical composition. The bakery products used in the study were made from wheat flour dough and were added with four percent of the corresponding vegetable oil and five percent sugar. The products were baked at two temperatures – at 200 C and at 220 C. The researchers looked at the antioxidant activity of the baked goods through chemiluminescence and through DPPH radical assay.

The findings of the study revealed that the vegetable oils increased the antioxidant activity in bakery products. The greatest increase in antioxidant activity was observed in baked goods added with pumpkin seed oil, followed by those with rice bran oil, and those with sunflower oil. In addition, the researchers observed that the total antioxidant activity was higher in the crumbs compared to the crust. Furthermore, the antioxidant activity increased as the baking temperature decreased. This effect was also observed in the antioxidant activity of aqueous extracts of crust and crumb in products with rice bran oil and sunflower oil as determined through chemiluminescence. On the other hand, the antioxidant activity of aqueous extracts in baked goods with pumpkin seed oil was found to be higher in the crust than in the crumb.

Natural Blaze Contributor Confronts US Official Over Pentagon Bioweapons Program

bioweapons program

By Brandon TurbevilleNatural Blaze

In mid-January, Bulgarian-based journalist and contributor to Natural Blaze, Dilyana Gaytandhzhieva, wrote an explosive exposé of the U.S. bioweapons research that spans across the world in 25 different countries. Gaytandzhieva’s article, “The Pentagon Bioweapons” was extraordinarily detailed and heavily cited.

Gaytandzhieva wrote in her article that:

The US Army regularly produces deadly viruses, bacteria and toxins in direct violation of the UN Convention on the prohibition of Biological Weapons. Hundreds of thousands of unwitting people are systematically exposed to dangerous pathogens and other incurable diseases.  Bio warfare scientists using diplomatic cover test man-made viruses at Pentagon bio laboratories in 25 countries across the world. These US bio-laboratories are funded by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) under a $ 2.1 billion military program– Cooperative Biological Engagement Program (CBEP), and are located in former Soviet Union countries such as Georgia and Ukraine, the Middle East, South East Asia and Africa.

I highly encourage you to access the article and read it over for yourself.

Recently, however, Gaytandzhieva traveled to Brussels and attended the European Parliament in order to confront Assistant Secretary at the US Department of Health regarding the number of classified bioweapons research labs scattered through Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Assistant Secretary Kadlec categorically denied the existence of an American bio-weapon program as well as that information surrounding the labs in question were classified. Gaytandzhieva attempted to continue her follow up but was silenced by the EU official sitting next to Kadlec who stated “This is not an investigation” to applause from the audience and an embrace between herself and Kadlec.

Free – 15-in-1 Survival Kit (Ad)

Gaytandzhieva didn’t stop there, however, following Kadlec to the elevator and continuing to ask him questions regarding the bioweapons program which Kadlec refused to answer. Security staff then refused to let Gaytandzhieva on the elevator. The last question she was able to squeeze out was “Why is the Pentagon investing $65 million in Gene Editing? Gene Editing is part of this program. Can you answer why?”

Although unable to retrieve any answers from Kadlec, Gaytandzhieva’s article is already an impressive collection of information revealing a network of bioweapons research facilities as well as mysterious outbreaks in their vicinities.

Gaytandzhieva posted the video on her social media pages, simply commenting:

Ohio Gov. Candidate Dennis Kucinich Goes All In For Marijuana In Ohio

Kucinich marijuana

By Brandon TurbevilleNatural Blaze

Ohio candidate for Governor, former Congressman Dennis Kucinich, stopped by the Cleveland School of Cannabis on Wednesday to announce his marijuana policy should he become the Governor of Ohio in 2018. As one might suspect from Kucinich’s history and by the location he chose to make his announcement, Kucinich’s marijuana platform is probably the most impressive ever put forward by a serious contender for the office.

In his short statement, Kucinich announced that he and his running mate, Tara L. Samples, would expand Ohio’s medical marijuana law while at the same time decriminalizing the possession and use of marijuana for adults over the age of 21. Kucinich stated that he would like to see marijuana regulated in a similar way to that which alcohol and alcohol sales are overseen in the state.

Linking marijuana policy to the opioid epidemic as a proven remedy (not an accessory), Kucinich also wants to see tax revenue from weed to be funneled back into communities, particularly those that have been so heavily devastated by the disastrous drug war. Kucinich also wants Ohio to begin growing industrial hemp as well as allowing medical marijuana patients to grow marijuana at home.

Kucinich pointed out that any regulation of marijuana should be focused on the health and safety of the patients, consumers, and citizens and not special interests, most likely hinting at the fact that Corporate America is already attempting to not only cash in on the growing marijuana market but also to monopolize it nationwide.

Kucinich spoke after a number of individuals who told their stories of how medical marijuana had improved their lives and the lives of those close to them.

FREE American Natural Superfood Sample (Ad)

Kucinich’s statement reads as following:

Prohibition is a failed policy. Tara Samples and I advocate for replacing the disastrous War on Drugs with policies rooted in evidence, compassion, and justice for all Ohioans. Thirty states and Washington, DC, have enacted policy specific to the physician-authorized use of cannabis, while an estimated 63 million Americans now reside in jurisdictions where anyone over the age of 21 may possess cannabis legally. As governor and lieutenant governor, Tara L. Samples and I aim to:

Expand Ohio’s Medical Marijuana Law

Allow Home Cultivation by Patients & Caregivers

Use Cannabis to Reduce Opioid Abuse

Treat Not Jail

Restore Communities Most Affected by the War on Drugs

Deschedule & Pass Common Sense Adult-Use Policy

Enable Participation of Small Businesses & Communities of Color

Use Tax Revenue for Public Health Allow Ohio Farmers to Grow Industrial Hemp

A functioning, compassionate medical cannabis program should be patient-centered to increase access and safety. As we Expand Ohio’s Medical Marijuana Law, we must stop treating patients like criminals. Education and access to high-quality medical cannabis should be readily available to patients, caregivers, and healthcare systems. The state should actively encourage and incentivize our medical community and research institutions to become educated in order to serve the patient population. There should not be any repercussions against patients who wish to explore medical cannabis as a treatment option, especially our veteran community. Students should not have their financial aid threatened or denied if they choose cannabis as a treatment option. People have the right to control their own health care and make their own health care choices. The law should Allow Home Cultivation by Patients & Caregivers to increase access in the absence of an adequate number of dispensaries for Ohio’s patient population and create a safe, affordable option to purchasing in a limited, uncertain market.

Everyday that Ohioans go without access to medical cannabis, the state adds to its body count of opioid overdose deaths, many of which started with a legal prescription for painkillers. The DEA knows there has never been a single fatal overdose from cannabis use as published in their “Drugs of Abuse” report. There is a growing body of state- and federally-funded research that demands we 2 Use Cannabis to Reduce Opioid Abuse. Building upon earlier research, a peer-reviewed study 3 recently published in the Journal of Health Economics funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse found that states that have a marijuana law with a legal, operational dispensary provision show a 4 statistically significant decline in opioid overdose death rates of about 25%. According to another recent study published by the Minnesota Department of Health, out of the patients known to be 6 taking opiate painkillers upon their enrollment into the state medical cannabis program, 63% were able to reduce or eliminate opioid usage after six months.

We must stop treating those who are afflicted by addiction like criminals. We must Treat Not Jail and stop the warehousing of non-violent offenders. There will be a renewed emphasis on rehabilitation that provides non-violent offenders with reasonable and appropriate opportunities to rejoin society, to find jobs, and get an education – to break the cycles of trauma that lead to addiction. Those who have paid their debt to society should not have to continue to pay over and over. We will also significantly increase investment in programs that help those in jail participate in job training and other educational programs to enhance their ability to successfully reintegrate into society. We will take necessary steps to reinstate state voting rights and ensuring funds for education for facilitating voting rights restoration. We will also make it mandatory that state prisons offer mental health, and, if appropriate, addiction treatment services for all inmates, regardless of offense. At the local level, we will review the circumstances of those being held in county jails to ensure that they are not being used as warehouses for the mentally ill, homeless, or otherwise disadvantage citizens. Jails are not appropriate places to hold nonviolent offenders with mental illness. Mental illness is a public health issue, not one of criminality.

We must Restore Communities Most Affected by the War on Drugs. The criminal justice system, in Ohio as well as nationally, has a shameful record of disproportionately targeting, prosecuting, jailing, and otherwise discriminating against the African American and Latino communities. In Ohio, people of color are more than four times more likely than whites to be arrested for “marijuana” possession. A system of “injustice” strips people of their freedoms based on color, class, or 8 geography; it also institutionalizes the permanent, lifelong imposition of negative consequences that affect family stability, employment, civil rights, voting rights, and any semblance of “equal opportunity.” Ohio spends on average $100M annually on “marijuana” possession enforcement and 9 with continued decriminalization efforts, we will be using those resources to restore these communities. We will incentivize our communities and law enforcement to mitigate existing and ongoing racial disparities in “marijuana” arrests and create a community reinvestment fund to invest in communities most impacted by the failed War on Drugs. We will work to expunge convictions specific to “marijuana” possession and non-violent offenses and allow individuals currently serving time in prison for “marijuana-related” violations to petition the court for resentencing. Using cannabis or having a “marijuana” charge on an individual’s record should not keep them from accessing the means to a higher quality of life, or benefits such as student loans or housing. Ending prohibition should mean that everyone’s quality of life goes up, not just those who weren’t discriminated against by the War on Drugs. If we are going to have a legal market, cannabis career opportunities should be made available to everyone.

“Marijuana” should be be removed from the Schedule of Controlled Substances entirely, at the state and federal level, as it is safer than tobacco and alcohol, neither of which are scheduled. We will explore options to Deschedule & Pass Common Sense Adult-Use Policy that will Enable Participation of Small Businesses & Communities of Color. The legalization of cannabis use for adults 21 and over should be regulated similarly to alcohol. Cannabis businesses should be licensed by the state, with fair barriers to entry into the industry to allow small businesses to flourish and participate in community health initiatives. The regulations and application process should not cater to special interests, and should be unbiased and cultivate opportunity for those communities disproportionately affected by the War on Drugs. The product itself should be tested for both quality and safety. Strict measures to prevent diversion and sales to minors should be in place. Adults should be able to grow their own cannabis in a locked and secured area. We will convene a bipartisan panel of community activists and experts to develop a plan to move toward responsible legalization and taxation of adult-use marijuana in Ohio and Use Tax Revenue for Public Health initiatives and other valuable public programs for the state. Colorado has earned more than $500M in tax revenue since the implementation of their law in 2014, and Nevada’s new program implemented July 2017 made 10 $30M in tax revenue in six months. Ohio cannot afford to miss out on this revenue.

FREE Compact Garden Blueprint (Ad)

As we look to expand our rural economy also impacted by the failed policies of prohibition, we will Allow Ohio Farmers to Grow Industrial Hemp. Hemp has remarkable health and wellness benefits and has the potential to build and restore soil health, while earning farmers more per acre than other agriculture commodities. The US is the largest consumer of Industrial Hemp as it is legal to buy, 12 sell, and consume—but not fully legal to cultivate without a permit. Domestic cultivation is permitted by the 2014 Farm Bill, and every state around us is moving forward with federally-approved research as their state policies support this development. Hemp was legally defined by congress as all parts of the hemp plant, whether growing or not, that have less than 0.3% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) by dry weight, as distinct from marijuana. Ohio’s agriculture, manufacturing, transportation, energy, 13 environmental management, and public health sectors will greatly benefit by collaborating with neighboring state programs and sharing the developing research on cultivation, processing, marketing, and interstate commerce of hemp products in our region and beyond. We will be educating law enforcement on the differences between legal hemp products and other types of cannabis products to protect consumers. We will work with members of the state’s Congressional delegation to enact appropriate measures as cannabis regulation requires changes in federal policies or statutes.

New OK Bill Would Move To Restore Vaccine Choice, Facing Predictable Opposition

New OK Bill Would Move To Restore Vaccine Choice For All, Facing Predictable Opposition

By Brandon TurbevilleNatural Blaze

A new vaccine bill has passed through committee in the Oklahoma House and, for a change, it’s a positive development. The bill, which still has to go through the general House and the Senate would be a major step in the right direction in terms of parental and patient choice in regards to vaccines.

Under House Bill 3444, a patient or a patient’s family cannot be penalized by an insurance company or medical doctor if they do not follow a vaccine schedule.

“This bill basically helps preserve the freedom of parents to make a decision in regards to their health care,” said Rep. Tom Gann, R-Inola.

But, predictably, other members of the Oklahoma Congress aren’t quite so lucid as Representative Gann. For instance, Senator Ervin Yen, stated that “As a physician, as a scientist, if I don’t keep trying to increase vaccination in Oklahoma, in my opinion, it’s malpractice.”

Judging from Yen’s statement which demonstrates a stunning lack of understanding of what malpractice is, science, and the concept of individual rights as well as the role of doctors in society (i.e. not authoritarian dictators), it would be wise for Yen to stop practicing medicine and resign from the Oklahoma Senate before he is able to do serious damage to the people of that state.

Regardless, the bill is eligible for a vote this week.

You can’t handle the truth about vaccines (Ad)

It states that an insurance company may not:

1. Require a physician participating in a managed care plan to issue an immunization or vaccination protocol for an immunization or vaccination to be administered to an enrollee in the plan

2. Limit an enrollee’s benefits for immunizations or vaccinations to circumstances in which an immunization or vaccination protocol is issued

3. Provide a financial incentive to a physician to issue an immunization or vaccination protocol; or

4. Impose a financial or other penalty on a physician who refused to issue an immunization or vaccination protocol.

Shocking victory for proponents of alternative medicine

Shocking victory for proponents of alternative medicine

by Jon Rappoport

March 8, 2018

Breaking: In Australia, an effort to label all alternative (traditional, complementary) medicine products as “based on pseudoscience” has failed.

Traditional remedies (much older than mainstream medicines) are defended as appropriate, and can include health claims.

The Crazz Files, a major defender of health freedom in Australia, reports: “In a major win, the Federal Government has ignored the Australian Greens and anti-complementary medicine activists like Doctor Ken Harvey…and passed a reform package that protects traditional medicine.”

“The Therapeutic Goods Amendment (2017 Measures No. 1) Bill, which passed Parliament on February 15, supports positive claims for complementary medicines based on traditional evidence, and abolishes the current complaints system.”

“Greens voters were shocked to learn Greens Leader and General Practitioner, Senator Dr Richard Di Natale was aligned with skeptics, whose platform is: ‘There is no alternative to [modern] Medicine’.”

“One of his [Dr. Di Natale’s] ‘concerns’ was that people were being ‘misled’ by traditional claims about the effectiveness of complementary medicine. He, and the skeptics, wanted labels on complementary and traditional medicines to state: ’this traditional indication is not in accordance with modern medical knowledge and there is no scientific evidence that this product is effective’.”

“The Minister for Rural Health, Senator Bridget McKenzie, told Di Natale: ‘I think it is offensive and disrespectful to those who practice traditional medicine’.”

“’For some, particularly those using Chinese medicine, the history of practising in that traditional medicine paradigm goes back thousands of years. It’s been extensively refined, practised and documented and in many cases incorporated into mainstream medicine. So, a statement required by the Australian Government that the indication is not in accordance with modern medical knowledge and that there is no scientific evidence will be seen as arrogant and insensitive to those practising and using traditional Chinese medicines,’ Senator McKenzie said.”

Boom.

All right. Now I want to treat readers to a brief analysis of “modern medicine,” the so-called scientific system that is the “only valid system.” It is the system employed in Australia, America, and virtually all countries in the world.

People who watch the news or read mainstream news have the impression that “scientific” medical research is remarkably valid and always progressing.

Doctors and medical bureaucrats line up to confirm and ceaselessly push this view.

But they are concealing a dark truth.

Let’s go to the record. Here are two editors of two of the most prestigious and respected medical journals in the world. During their long careers, they have read and scrutinized more studies than any doctor, researcher, bureaucrat, or so-called medical blogger. And this is what they have written:

ONE: “It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.” (Dr. Marcia Angell, NY Review of Books, January 15, 2009, “Drug Companies & Doctors: A Story of Corruption)

TWO: “The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness…

“The apparent endemicity of bad research behaviour is alarming. In their quest for telling a compelling story, scientists too often sculpt data to fit their preferred theory of the world. Or they retrofit hypotheses to fit their data. Journal editors deserve their fair share of criticism too. We aid and abet the worst behaviours. Our acquiescence to the impact factor fuels an unhealthy competition to win a place in a select few journals. Our love of ‘significance’ pollutes the literature with many a statistical fairy-tale…Journals are not the only miscreants. Universities are in a perpetual struggle for money and talent…” (Dr. Richard Horton, editor-in-chief, The Lancet, in The Lancet, 11 April, 2015, Vol 385, “Offline: What is medicine’s 5 sigma?”)

There are many ominous implications in these two statements. I will point out one.

Incompetent, error-filled, and fraudulent studies of medical drugs—for example, published reports on clinical trials of those drugs—would lead one to expect chaos in the field of medical treatment. And by chaos, I mean: the drugs cause widespread death and severe injury.

Again, if a person obtains his news from mainstream sources, he will say, “But I see no evidence of such a vast scandal.”

That is a conspiracy of silence. Because this widespread death and grievous harm HAS been reported. Where? In open-source medical literature.

For example: On July 26, 2000, the US medical community received a titanic shock, when one of its most respected public-health experts, Dr. Barbara Starfield, revealed her findings on healthcare in America. Starfield was associated with the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

The Starfield study, “Is US health really the best in the world?”, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), came to the following conclusion, among others:

Every year in the US, correctly prescribed, FDA approved medical drugs kill 106,000 people. Thus, every decade, these drugs kill more than a MILLION people.

On the heels of Starfield’s astonishing findings, media reporting was rather perfunctory, and it soon dwindled. No major newspaper or television network mounted an ongoing “Medicalgate” investigation. Neither the US Department of Justice nor federal health agencies undertook prolonged remedial action.

All in all, those parties who could have taken effective steps to correct this ongoing tragedy preferred to ignore it.

On December 6-7, 2009, I interviewed Dr. Starfield by email. Here is an excerpt from that interview.

Q: What has been the level and tenor of the response to your findings, since 2000?

A: The American public appears to have been hoodwinked into believing that more interventions lead to better health, and most people that I meet are completely unaware that the US does not have the ‘best health in the world’.

Q: In the medical research community, have your medically-caused mortality statistics been debated, or have these figures been accepted, albeit with some degree of shame?

A: The findings have been accepted by those who study them. There has been only one detractor, a former medical school dean, who has received a lot of attention for claiming that the US health system is the best there is and we need more of it. He has a vested interest in medical schools and teaching hospitals (they are his constituency).

Q: Have health agencies of the federal government consulted with you on ways to mitigate the [devastating] effects of the US medical system?

A: NO.

Q: Are you aware of any systematic efforts, since your 2000 JAMA study was published, to remedy the main categories of medically caused deaths in the US?

A: No systematic efforts; however, there have been a lot of studies. Most of them indicate higher rates [of death] than I calculated.

Q: Did your 2000 JAMA study sail through peer review, or was there some opposition to publishing it?

A: It was rejected by the first journal that I sent it to, on the grounds that ‘it would not be interesting to readers’!

—end of interview excerpt—

Physicians are trained to pay exclusive homage to peer-reviewed published drug studies. These doctors unfailingly ignore the fact that, if medical drugs are killing a million Americans per decade, the studies on which those drugs are based must be fraudulent. In other words, the medical literature is suspect, unreliable, and impenetrable.

WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT THE TWO ESTEEMED MEDICAL EDITORS I QUOTED ABOVE—MARCIA ANGELL AND RICHARD HORTON—ARE SAYING.

If you know a doctor who enjoys sitting up on his high horse dispensing the final word on modern medicine, you might give him the quotes from Dr. Angell and Dr. Horton, instruct him to read them, and suggest he get in touch with Angell and Horton, in order to discover what has happened to his profession.

As in: DISASTER.

A different theory of cancer

A different theory of cancer

by Jon Rappoport

March 7, 2018

“The scrambling of chromosomes is so massive that no two cancer cells are identical. This means there is no typical cancer cell for vaccines or drugs to target and drug resistance is inevitable. All this without gene mutations.” (David Rasnick, PhD, former mainstream researcher, who has now become an outsider.)

A theory to explain the failure of the war on cancer? A theory that indicates in simple terms why mainstream treatments fail? A door that could open up on new alternative treatments?

There is a fascinating book-in-progress by chemist David Rasnick, PhD. It proposes a quite different view of cancer.

Here is an excerpt from David’s bio: “The past 21 years I have studied cancer from a completely new perspective. Prior to that, I worked in the pharmaceutical/biotech industries developing drugs against cancer, emphysema, arthritis, and parasites.”

“I…synthesized the first peptidyl-fluoromethanes. These molecules are…used around the world in the development of therapies for the tissue-destroying diseases of arthritis, cancer, and parasites, among others.”

David presents an explanation of cancer by tracing the cause to CHROMOSOME MALFUNCTION—which is a major departure from the current GENE-MUTATION hypothesis.

Merriam-Webster: “[A gene is] a unit of DNA that is usually located on a chromosome and that controls the development of one or more traits and is the basic unit by which genetic information is passed from parent to offspring.”

Vocabulary.com: “A chromosome is a strand of DNA that is encoded with genes. In most cells, humans have 22 pairs of these chromosomes plus the two sex chromosomes…”

David writes: “Cancer is a disease of the chromosomes! This simple understanding changes everything—from prevention to diagnosis to treatment. It explains spontaneous remission, inevitable drug resistance, and strongly supports alternatives to radiation and chemotherapy. It can help you and your family make better informed choices.”

David is raising funds for the purpose of completing his book. You can go to his Indiegogo site and watch David explain his cancer research, and if so moved, make a contribution.

I asked David to make a few comments about his new work—now that he has moved from the scientific mainstream to an “outsider” position. Here are his remarks:

“The biggest mark against [gene] mutations causing cancer is that every attempt to experimentally, or any other way, to prove it has failed. Second, basing diagnosis and treatment on the gene theory have failed to reduce the incidence of cancer and mortality. Third, theoretical and experimental proof that unbalanced chromosomes cause cancer continues to amass. So far, the chromosomal imbalance theory has successfully explained everything we know about cancer: how it starts and progresses over years to decades, its physical and behavioral characteristics, inevitable drug resistance, the impossibility of a vaccine against cancer…”

“Anything that becomes entrenched is difficult to replace. The trillion dollars spent on the gene centric war on cancer has created a mighty citadel. Huge egg in the face of government, drug companies, academics and opinion leaders to say whoops folks, sorry, we got it wrong.”

“Unbalanced chromosomes completely disrupt the species specific and tissue specific location of chromosomes. The chromosomes still orchestrate the production of proteins but in bizarre and uncoordinated ways. Again, without mutation of genes.”

“…there is an overall gain in chromosomes as…unbalanced cells divide over a period of years to decades. The amount of protein in a cell is proportional to the number of chromosomes, which means that cancer cells have considerably more protein than normal cells. The extra protein leads to the secretion of very dangerous digestive enzymes and other proteins responsible for invasion of adjacent tissues and metastasis.”

“The scrambling of chromosomes is so massive that no two cancer cells are identical. This means there is no typical cancer cell for vaccines or drugs to target and drug resistance is inevitable. All this without gene mutations.”

“The chromosomal imbalance theory changes everything about cancer. It offers young researches a very powerful and productive alternative to the hopelessly failed gene mutation theory.”

EPA Wants China to Sell Bee-Killing Pesticide for 165 Mil Acres of US Farmland

By Markab Algedi

Thiamethoxam is a pollinator killing pesticide that is known to be a bad decision if people who insist on using pesticides (because the agrichemical industry tries to cultivate a situation where average farmers have little option but to use some kind of pesticide).

It’s not necessary to use thiamethoxam. Why not choose something else? I can’t think of any particularly good pesticide or natural solution to pesticide, but a better option must exist than this.

The EPA is considering using the pesticide on major American food crops, covering about 165 million acres of farmland in the US. If this goes through, the crops that will be poisoned with thiamethoxam include corn, wheat, potato, rice, barley, sorghum, and alfalfa.

This seems to be a matter of the EPA submitting permission to the agrochemical giant corporation Syngenta, which produces the chemical.

The same day that the EPA released “new assessments” of the effects and dangers of neonicotinoid chemicals,  Syngenta proposed a shocking increase in the amount of thiamethoxam they sell and are allowed to by regulations. Thiamethoxam is a neonicotinoid, like Monsanto’s glyphosate.

According to the director of the Center for Biological Diversity’s environmental health program, Ann Burd:

“If the EPA grants Syngenta’s wish, it will spur catastrophic declines of aquatic invertebrates and pollinator populations that are already in serious trouble.”

“You know the pesticide-approval process is broken when the EPA announces it will consider expanding the use of this dangerous pesticide on the same day its own scientists reveal that the chemical kills birds and aquatic invertebrates.”

According to EcoWatch:

“Neonicotinoids have long been known to pose serious harm to bee populations. But the new EPA assessments found the commonly used pesticides can kill and harm birds of all sizes and pose significant dangers to aquatic invertebrates.

Thiamethoxam is currently widely used as a seed coating for these crops. This application would allow it to be sprayed directly on the crops, greatly increasing the amount of pesticide that could be used.

The just-released aquatic and non-pollinator risk assessment found that the majority of uses of the neonicotinoid on currently registered crops resulted in risks to freshwater invertebrates that exceeded levels of concern—the threshold at which harm is known to occur.

The EPA did not assess risks associated with spraying the pesticides on the crops it announced it was considering expanding use to on Friday. But it is likely that increasing the number of crops approved for spraying would dramatically increase that risk.”

The pesticide kills birds of all sizes, they want to spray it directly onto crops, and the EPA did not assess the risks: what do people expect when the days of anti-trust laws and unions are long gone and already formidable and corrupt corporations are merging across the board?

The harmful effects of neonicotinoid pesticides on bees, human beings, animals, insects, plants, water supplies, and everything else imaginable has been extensively documented on March Against Monsanto. For more information on that, visit the archives of articles here.

The thing is, Syngenta was purchased by the Chinese government. The Chinese government owned corporation ChemChina purchased Syngenta. The corporation is not unfamiliar with making power moves like this, as Monsanto-Bayer and DOW-Du Pont are capable of such sway over regulatory agencies.

As single corporations before those 3 monster chemical/biotech mergers, those entities still had the ability to get regulatory authorities on their side. We can only imagine what they will be capable of now.

When the Chinese government purchased massive Switzerland based chemical giant Syngenta, one of the world’s most powerful producers of genetically modified seeds, pesticides, and related products, a certain narrative followed the consolidation of power.

The narrative was that China wanted food security for its people. That narrative is false: the Chinese government wants power. They celebrate Mao, and that’s the man who let a lot of his own people starve not very long ago. The American people remember the 60’s and 70’s as an era of hippy music. The Chinese people who care to look at the truth see those days as a time of starvation and struggle.

Major power moves are taking place, and a “three horsemen of biotech” you could say, is becoming reality.

It’s Syngenta-ChemChina, Monsanto-Bayer, and DOW-Du Pont. Welcome to the end of the 2010’s decade.

Teen Mental Health Seriously Deteriorated in 5 Years – The Surprising Culprit

Teen Mental Health Seriously Deteriorated in 5 Years - The Surprising Culprit

By Brandon TurbevilleNatural Blaze

Between the years of 2010 and 2015, large national surveys demonstrated that teen mental health vastly deteriorated.

The number of U.S. teens who felt useless and joyless grew by 33% and teen suicide attempts grew by 23%. The number of 13-18 year olds who actually committed suicide jumped to 31%.

In a paper published in Clinical Psychological Science, researchers found that increases in suicide, suicide attempts and depression were found in teens from every background including races, ethnicities and social class.

These increases were also found in every region across the country.

Previously, it was thought that millennials were the most heavy sufferers of mental health issues of all the generations. But it appears that young people born after 1995 are at much more risk than even millennials.

This begs the question as to what would cause such sudden increase in depression and suicide.

Jean Twenge, professor of psychology at San Diego State University, links that increase back to the appearance of the Smart Phone.

Twenge writes,

Because the years between 2010 to 2015 were a period of steady economic growth and falling unemployment, it’s unlikely that economic malaise was a factor. Income inequality was (and still is) an issue, but it didn’t suddenly appear in the early 2010s: This gap between the rich and poor had been widening for decades. We found that the time teens spent on homework barely budged between 2010 and 2015, effectively ruling out academic pressure as a cause.

However, according to the Pew Research Center, smartphone ownership crossed the 50 percent threshold in late 2012 – right when teen depression and suicide began to increase. By 2015, 73 percent of teens had access to a smartphone.

Not only did smartphone use and depression increase in tandem, but time spent online was linked to mental health issues across two different data sets. We found that teens who spent five or more hours a day online were 71 percent more likely than those who spent less than an hour a day to have at least one suicide risk factor (depression, thinking about suicide, making a suicide plan or attempting suicide). Overall, suicide risk factors rose significantly after two or more hours a day of time online.

Of course, it’s possible that instead of time online causing depression, depression causes more time online. But three other studies show that is unlikely (at least, when viewed through social media use).

Two followed people over time, with both studies finding that spending more time on social media led to unhappiness, while unhappiness did not lead to more social media use. A third randomly assigned participants to give up Facebook for a week versus continuing their usual use. Those who avoided Facebook reported feeling less depressed at the end of the week.

The argument that depression might cause people to spend more time online doesn’t also explain why depression increased so suddenly after 2012. Under that scenario, more teens became depressed for an unknown reason and then started buying smartphones, which doesn’t seem too logical.

Twenge is wrong that the years of 2010 – 2015 showed steady economic growth and falling unemployment. In fact, those years saw greater unemployment in terms of real numbers and living standards fall further than they had in years before. So it is likely that economic factors could play a role. However, Twenge is right to point out the link between constant interaction on social media and smart phones and greater depression.

Twenge also points out how being glued to a smart phone reduces the amount of face-to-face time with other human beings and leads to social isolation.

Basically, as Twenge writes, “teens have spent less time on activities known to benefit mental health (in person social interaction) and more time on activities that may harm it (time online).” SEE: Trinity From The Matrix Explains How We Are Living In An Actual Matrix

Twenge also points out that teens who spend more time on their phones also might be sleeping less.

But there are also other factors including today’s economy, increased pressure at school from the educational system itself which is often militaristic, confusing, non-productive and filled with outright propaganda that assail the senses of an adult much less a teenager.

Video games, television, music and pornography all play a role as well since the type of information one is exposed to has a definite effect on one’s outlook and overall mental state, particularly if that exposure lasts for a great deal of time.

If teens feel hopeless it is perhaps that they are being exposed to hopelessness in being prepared to be “good citizens” in an apparently hopeless world.
