Israel to establish 'triangle of relations' with India, UAE

In addition to the normalisation deals between Israel and several Arab and Gulf states, Israel is looking forward to developing relations with India, hoping to establish a “triangle of Israeli-Indian-Emirati relations.” In the first meeting of its kind held in October 2021 between the foreign ministers of India, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Israel and the US, it was decided to establish an international forum for economic cooperation. Yoel Guzinsky, a researcher at the Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University and expert on Gulf states, shared: “New Delhi has recently resumed talks to promote a free trade agreement with Israel and the UAE.” According to Guzinsky, this is in return for the Israeli interest in increasing the […]

The High Court in the southern Indian state of Karnataka blocked students, Thursday, from wearing religious garments until a case on the matter is decided, Anadolu News Agency reports. A three-judge panel was hearing the case to decide if schools and colleges can order students not to wear the hijab or headscarves in classrooms. “We will pass an order that let the institutions start, but till the matter is pending, these students and stakeholders will not insist on wearing any religious garment or head dress. We will restrain everyone,” said the panel, led by Chief Justice, Ritu Raj Awasth. The case will be heard again on Monday. The rise of Hindutva fascism belies India's claim to be a secular democracy

India's reputation as the world's largest democracy and a country that upholds secular values has been eroded ever since the right-wing Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) swept into power in 2014. Several moves by the BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi seem designed to change the secular and democratic fabric of India into that of a purely right-wing Hindu nation. After the BJP received an even bigger mandate in 2019, its Hindutva agenda became more visible. Moreover, a number of groups affiliated to the ruling party have started to threaten India's Muslims, the country's largest minority community, and their institutions. The latest manifestation of this is the ban on popular Malayalam-language MediaOne television channel, citing “national security”. MediaOne […]

Hijab row escalates further in India

The Government of India's southern state of Karnataka, on Tuesday, announced the closure of all high schools and colleges for the next three days as a row continues over the wearing of the hijab, or headscarf, by Muslim girls in classrooms, Anadolu News Agency reports. Karnataka Chief Minister, Basavaraj Bommai, has asked the students, teachers and people of Karnataka to maintain peace and harmony. “I have ordered the closure of all high schools and colleges for next three days. The issue started when female Muslim students were barred, last month, from entering their classrooms at a government college in Udupi district in Karnataka because they were wearing the hijab. Fauci Patent for Vaxx-Induced AIDS: HIV Glycoprotein 120 Contained in Vaxx

As I first reported on February 9th 2020, and again on March 15th 2020, researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi had published a paper on January 31st about their findings of four unique insertions in Novel Coronavirus. These were the features which made it “novel”, because they had not previously been found in any other coronavirus. It just so happens that these insertions appeared to be the same spike glycoprotein GP120 found on the HIV virus. In the Abstract, the Indian scientists wrote that this fact was “unlikely to be fortuitous in nature,” which was a delicate way of saying that SARS CoV-2 is a bioweapon. The four HIV GP120 and gag protein receptor sequences that they’d discovered in the SARS CoV-2 virus are what allow both the HIV and COVID viruses to enter the cells of human bodies and to bind to human CD4 (T type white blood) cells. If the presence of HIV GP120 in the Novel Coronavirus were due to random mutation/recombination, we’d expect to see other HIV sequences randomly distributed in the Wuhan virus’s genome. But we don’t. These HIV sequences are found ONLY in critical binding sites, which is a

Reyes: How India Is Keeping MAGA China Policies Alive Post-Trump

Nationalist, anti-China policies implemented by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi echo those favored by U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration over the past four years. As Trump’s term draws to a close, Modi promises to keep the once-U.S.-led fight to contain China alive well beyond January 2021. Modi was elected to the office of prime minister in 2014 after running successfully on a populist platform as a member of India’s Hindu nationalist BJP party. Similar to Trump’s America First agenda, Modi sought to reignite Indian society by prioritizing the needs of the nation’s majority Hindus. This platform proved victorious again in 2019 when Modi won reelection in another landslide victory, earning him five additional years in office. Over the past several months, Modi has initiated a handful of strategic anti-China policies across the economic and military sectors designed to contain the Asian giant and, in turn, put India’s needs first. Below are three key ways Modi has assumed the anti-China mantle. “Self-Reliant India” Modi in April launched his “Self-Reliant India” initiative, which encourages Indian businesses to become less dependent on foreign supply chains. He announced the effort as a deliberate response to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, which Modi said had exposed India’s over-reliance on China
