Joe Biden Says Mitt Romney Has 'Enormous Integrity' — After Claiming He was Going to Put People 'Back in Chains'

President-elect Joe Biden praised U.S. Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) on Friday, despite viciously attacking his character in the past. While speaking to reporters, Biden complimented Romney and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell: Biden says “a number” of Republicans have called him since Wednesday to express outrage & embarrassment with Trump. He praises McConell & Romney for standing up & saying the right things on Senate floor, but adds “there’s others who should be ashamed of themselves.” pic.twitter.com/Q1GAn4WoBM — Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) January 8, 2021 Biden said he spoke to Romney Friday morning and added, “Enormous respect for” Romney “and I ran against him.” He praised Romney, claiming he “lives his faith.” But in 2012, Biden brutally assailed Romney. I’m old enough to remember when Biden had a very different take on the moral compass of Sen. Romney…. “(Romney) is going to put y’all back in chains” https://t.co/SiCD1AiyAv pic.twitter.com/p7GmL6pTk7 — Leigh Wolf (@LeighWolf) January 8, 2021 While running for reelection as vice president, Biden told a predominately black audience that Romney was “going to put y’all back in chains.” Biden claimed Romney was “fundamentally wrong” and “totally out of touch.” Invoking the campaign’s oft-used “Osama bin Laden

Romney Scolds Trump for Fighting On: 'Difficult to Imagine a Worse, More Undemocratic Action' by President

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) excoriated President Donald Trump and his allies early Friday morning for continuing to fight for a clearer picture of attempts at election fraud in key swing states. Romney alleged the president had “failed to make even a plausible case of widespread fraud or conspiracy” in a host of cases the president’s team has launched in selected battleground states where he trails Joe Biden. “The president has now resorted to overt pressure on state and local officials to subvert the will of the people and overturn the election. It is difficult to imagine a worse, more undemocratic action by a sitting American president,” Romney said in a statement posted to Twitter. pic.twitter.com/S3kFsIRGmi — Mitt Romney (@MittRomney) November 20, 2020 Romney’s statement came after Rudy Giuliani used a press conference to air allegations of electoral fraud as part of an effort to shine of a light on the vote certification process. Two other GOP senators — Sens. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) and Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) — have also rebutted comments made during Giuliani’s press conference. Watch: Ben Swann on Media, Politics, and ISE Media on The Ripple Effect Podcast

In my recent interview with Ricky Varandas on The Ripple Effect podcast, I enjoyed a great discussion on current and past events impacting the world and talked about the launch of my new platform, ISE Media. In this interview I was able to share some of my background in my 20 years of journalism and explained how 2012 in particular was an awakening to the way that mainstream media operates. As we covered a number of topics ranging from issues stemming from the pandemic to widespread corruption in the media, I appreciated the opportunity to talk about the censorship sweeping across every tech platform and how ISE is poised to allow a space where facts and ideas can be freely discussed. Ricky and I also talked about the equity crowdfund for ISE Media going on now. With the support of investors in this crowdfund our goal is to expand the platform; we launched this crowdfund to not only help our team continue development and building out the platform, but to allow our investors to actually own a part of ISE Media. Sign up for our newsletter Our announcement video explains the platform launch and how crowdfund investors
